I met Seth Davis approximately 17 years ago at a national music convention in Southern California. Within minutes of meeting him I was struck by his passion for drums and drumming. Upon getting to know him better I realized just how incredible a technician he was and continues to be and that he has a knack for explaining exactly what it is that he does so masterfully. Incredible speed, accuracy and feel can be obtained if you follow his teachings...and of course, put in the time.

Seth opened my eyes to innovative approaches and methods for interpreting time. There is a reason this artist is one of the leaders in advance drumming and innovative rhythmic composition. The Top 1% is correct!

I'm all in on this rating. I have had the privilege of learning from Seth personally about eight years ago. At that time I also observed him in a live clinic and got to see how he works with students. I also sat in on some private lessons that he was giving to a few of my personal drumming buddies. I don't think I've EVER met a teacher who is as passionate about teaching as Seth. I feel that every drummer who has not experienced his unique method would benefit greatly by experiencing this particular approach as soon as they can. His drumming method and philosophy comes out in all his books, videos, seminars etc. A five star rating is not enough in this case.

I've played with a lot of drummers. As a bass player, the drummer is the most important part of the band to me. I met Seth on stage at a gig. At the time I knew nothing about him. I went on to play dozens if not hundreds of gigs with him. Not only is Seth extremely knowledgeable in theory and technique, he knows how to groove. The best drummers know when to play and when not to play. Seth knows both. His pocket is unrivaled. His professionalism is what anyone would want in a player. And on top of all of that, Seth is a sweetheart of a guy. If you want to learn how to play the instrument, I can think of nobody better to learn from than Seth Davis.

I first came across Seth's talent several years ago, viewing his single stroke roll mastery video. First thoughts? You never told me there was an android on this ship! Since then, working remotely from the UK alongside Seth, I've had somewhat of a Matrix RAM upgrade, figuring out and transcribing his incredible drumming concepts into Video Drum Transcriptions - VDT's. First of all, there are no gimmicks like other teachers who can sometimes confuse their students. Second, and most importantly, I learned from Seth that in the Moeller technique there’s lots of wasted motion. This “reverse Moeller” as I call it, is excellent for mastering accents and making your hands even speeds. Third, Seth always answers questions promptly.
