About Lou
I teach drums and hand percussion using proven methods that stress technique and musicianship to students of all ages.
My Dad was a teacher, professional drummer, and owned his own drum school and shop. My older brother and I both took lessons, worked in the store, and eventually started teaching as well, as we build up years of professional experience at a very young age. When I moved out to Arizona in 2007, I opened up The DrumChops Drum School, and have been teaching my own blend of chops, groove, and technique to students of all ages.
I come from a family of drum instructors and have been playing for over 50 years. I've played professionally my entire adult life, and encourage my students through experience. Check out my videos at DrumChops.com

Students will find a logical, fun method approach, that quickly builds on the fundamentals of technique and reading to unlock potential quickly.
There is no "type" of students that I work with. I've taught students from 5 years of age to 75 and up. Folks with all types of physical challenges, and experienced drummers suffering from pain in the hands and wrists due to poor technique. The only requirement is the desire to learn, and you are welcome at my school.

Details
Private lessons are given once a week. The cost is just $25 for 30 minutes, or a full hour for just $45!
