About Steven
I started teaching high school drum lines and it became a mentoring situation for certain students. That matured into one on one lessons on snare drum. Later I helped some younger groups take to the stage and develop professionalism in live settings.
20 years of playing live and recording, both at home and professionally. Versed in different genres and styles.

I like to determine skill level and knowledge base. From there we decide what you want to learn and tailor lessons to work toward your end goal.
Rudimental snare drum, marching, rock kit, funk kit, and live groups
Find someone who works with you. I might not be the right teacher, and don't be nervous to recognize that. Music is personal and so is learning an instrument.
Showed up to a local festival and three bands' drummers didn't show. I filled in for all three when I wasn't expecting to play at all. Shows went great and I made some friends!

Details
I always thought $20/30 minutes is fair for today. If you want to do hour lessons it would be $35 an hour with a break in there somewhere. Sometimes age is a factor to the length of lessons.
