About Connie
With over 20 years of experience as an artist and instructor, I offer private one-on-one art classes designed to help each student discover their artistic strengths and develop solid technical skills. Lessons are held one-on-one only, either in your home or at a coffee shop in East York, providing focused, uninterrupted instruction in a comfortable and inspiring setting.
I work with beginners through intermediate artists, introducing drawing, painting, and a variety of artistic techniques to help students explore different styles and mediums. Through personalized guidance, we identify what the student enjoys most and then concentrate on refining and mastering that technique.
Each class begins with foundational skills such as observation, proportion, shading, color theory, brush control, and composition. From there, lessons are fully customized to support steady growth, confidence, and artistic development at the student’s own pace.
I hold a degree in Graphic Design and have advanced training in painting and sculpture, combined with decades of hands-on artistic practice. Teaching art is my passion, and I love helping students gain confidence, improve their skills, and truly enjoy the creative process.
What sets my instruction apart is the individualized, one-on-one approach. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, learning style, and interests—no generic lessons or group settings. My method ensures focused attention, clear instruction, and measurable progress in a supportive and encouraging environment.
