About James
My methods are fun and quick to learn. Be creative and enjoy the experience of using art to express yourself. Teaching is from a positive place. Short term or long term work is available.
My background starts when I was a child and could not stop drawing and painting. By college, I enrolled in an art degree program in Michigan. I have painted professionally and yet I really enjoy just painting for myself at my leisure.
I love to work with ideas, colors, and accomplishing something larger than me. It is incredibly satisfying to create beauty and leave something of me, behind. I coach students to learn to be at ease and enjoy the process of painting. Techniques are modeled and practiced in preparation for painting, usually. The final work can take as long as one wants. There is never any pressure or rush. This experience is for students specifically and it should be fun and satisfying. We are looking for a painter in you!
