About Theodore
I am a professional artist and I built my private studio in the Gorge.
I got started teaching as a natural extension of how I am with people. I like to share my process. All types.
I have a BA degree in fine art. I’ve taught in schools a little bit and have had a positive response from my students.

I like to look at what they’ve done and possibly get them to draw from life or paint from life to see how comfortable they are. It’s important to understand what somebody wants to learn, especially if it’s a one on one class.
Sorry this form is a little difficult on my phone and it keeps skipping around to different questions. But I’ve taught all types of students.
I think it’s important to look at the teachers artwork and see if it inspires you. I also think it’s important to interview a teacher and feel comfortable around them.
I’ve started doing a series of portraits of friends in the studio. It feels really nice to have more people checking out while I’m painting.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think you can think too much. So allowing questions to form while you’re actually making art is probably a better plan.
