About Merrill

I am an artist from Santa Fe, New Mexico with over 25 years of experience in art, drawing, painting, murals and working in the art department in the film industry and am a member of IATSE 480 as well as being a full time artist and tattooist. I’m currently located in Vail Colorado and own Avanti Tattoo. My work has been featured in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and other films. I’ve also participated in exhibitions at Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico and at the UNM Harwood Gallery in Taos, New Mexico. My mediums include ink, paint, spray paint (my personal favorite) , wood, metal, sculpting, dioramas, and many others, and well as fabrication of designs, set designs, and multimedia installations.

Over thirty years in the fields of fine art, mural work, signage and screen printing, as well as scale modeling, sculpture and fabrication.

About the lesson

Basics to advanced blending the teaching of materials, skills,and techniques used in my own art as well as other artists. Hands on, not theory as well as practical applications.

Part of art shows at many southwest galleries and museums of note including: Gerald Peters Gallery, UNM Harwood Museum, and many others.
