About Joel

I strive to tailor my tutoring to bridge the gap between step-by-step instruction books for children and academic education. I try to make academic practice not so intimidating for beginners.

About the lesson

I start by asking what they are interested in acheiving. Then I have them draw something to get an idea of their skill level and comfort. After a little drawing we talk about what seems to be their strengths and weaknesses so we can move in a more focused direction
