About Leon
I am an artist based in the Tampa Bay area for over 20 years. Art in all its manifestations has been and continues to be my passion for most of my life, however, I have devoted most of the time to painting and drawing as well as to the history of art. Likewise, sharing my experience with other people is perhaps the most rewarding of all the creative process; I love teaching, and especially I love accompanying my students to reach increasingly higher creative levels.
When I teach, I am actually expanding my own experience through other people so that they can embody new ways of expressing the ideal of human life. Knowing that I am part of this magnificent puzzle keeps me motivated to continue sharing my own creative journey.

My teaching process is based on three pillars: Inspiration, practical skills and creative development.
1- Inspiration usually appears when one knows what one wants to say, then the motivation and intense desire to manifest what is unique in each one of us appears.
2 - The practical skill is the fieldwork in which determination and persistence are crucial to be able to advance every time to higher levels of excellence. Those who think that art is a matter of relaxing and having a good time are not fully informed. Excellence is achieved only when based on relentless determination and practice: nothing replaces the practice.
3- The development of creativity is, in my opinion, the funniest part of the whole learning process; This is because creativity only develops in absolute freedom; This is the moment when we take everything learned (as a result of practice and discipline) and deliver it to the mind and spirit so that they undo it and return it to us as an unsuspected creation.
