About Renee

In my studio we don't believe in talent. We believe in skill. As a carpenter learns to use the hammer, the artist learns to use the brush or the pencil. I teach all levels and all mediums. Beginners are welcomed! My students range in age from 8 to 98. You will learn how to mix colors, how to use the brush correctly, how to blend colors. You will learn perspective by color and viewpoint.

You will learn to paint like the Old Masters. This class will take you to the next level in your abilities!

The prices I have displayed are for the student to come to me. If I need to travel to the student, there is an additional fee.

I'm a former Ringling instructor and have also taught at Tulane and Loyola University. I studied with an Italian master for many years and am a graduate of the Red Mountain Institute of Art. I'm also a successful professional artist whose work is in the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, The Ellington-White Gallery in NC, The Amalie Arena in Tampa and many private and corporate collections.

It is very gratifying to see the wonderful progress of my students. They receive hands-on instruction and are constantly monitored.

I started teaching when I lived in New Orleans.

I'm a former Ringling instructor and have also taught at Tulane and Loyola Universities. I am a graduate of the Red Mountain Institute of Art and studied with an Italian Master for many years. As a successful professional artist, my paintings are exhibited in the Brownsville Museum of Art, The Ellington-White Gallery in NC, The Amalie Arena in Tampa, Longboat Key Town Hall and many other private and corporate collections. I have won many accolades for my paintings and have had many one-woman shows.

About the lesson

I provide an incomplete drawing of a completed painting. Have them complete the drawing, then show them how to achieve the correct brush stroking and mixing of colors. I'm very hands-on and give constant attention.

My students range in age from 8 to 98.

My classes are small so I can give a lot of attention to students. Find out how many students are in the class.
