Most people will teach you about art theory, art history, paint by squares, etc. Those things are nice to know, but doesn't really give the artist true freedom with what they wish to create.

My approach is based on a the fundamentals while also addressing the vision of the artist.

I've always wanted the complete freedom to express intangible thoughts into forms. Each piece is an exciting step forward into the unknown, but having known the exteririor function and form of this world;( light, composition, color, anatomy) the sting of failure becomes less terrifying and more enlightening.

People like what I make and are curious as to how I got where I am. Practice.

I've been drawing my whole life, gone to 5 years of studio art training, and completed my bachelors of fine art in illustration for another 5 years.

About the lesson

I start by evaluating where my student is at with their current skill, what they are interested in, and find out what end product they want to create and what they need to create in order to be able reach that end goal.

If no goal is in mind, I would just teach them as my teachers taught me at Academy of Art University.

Foundational courses, lighting and form, anatomy/figure drawing, composition and color, traditional/digital methods.

Usually peers and children, but anyone older than me shouldn't be an issue.

What is your end goal. It's hard to teach what the student cannot grasp. Help me understand what interests you so that you are engaged with the lessons, as they will be form fitted to your world, not mine.
