About Mike
I've been a professional artist for about 50 years and have been teaching workshops and lessons for 20 years. I conduct workshops all over the country as well as in New Mexico. I have developed a systematic step-by-step painting process based on many years of experience and classical art principles. I teach the 7 aesthetic principles that are essential to creating and critiqueing a painting. Rather than technique, I stress learning the basics that allow the artist to approach any painting with confidence. On my website at (concealed information) one can see how my approach allows for spontaneity and control to achieve strong design and authentic images.
I have had many museum shows and one man shows, winning many awards as well as several Best of Show in multiple mediums.
