About Kathleen
I would start with the students and the prior knowledge and beliefs that they bring to class regarding to be learned. I expect students to be curious, to act upon their own intellectual intuitive, and to reflect on their own learning with the skills and knowledge that they have at their current level of development. I would help my students to learn how to learn.
Art education provides students with new avenues for communication and making connections in their world. I believe because all types of learners can succeed in an art room, it gives an opportunity for everyone to gain a greater sense of self-confidence.
