About Al
There are many ways to paint and draw. I have a method that can have you painting and drawing your favorite subjects in a very short time.
Fun is big on my list. If you are having fun, you will get better quicker.

I love to paint and draw and have been doing it since I was a small child. I love it even more today some 40 years later.
I am thrilled to teach people skills that will give them hours of enjoyment and especially lots of fun.. Seeing them progress is very exciting for me.

I have a B.A. in Fine Arts. I also worked as a Graphic Designer and Art Director for many, many years (30).
I am very out going and love to teach and be around individuals who are interested in art.

Initially, I evaluate what skills the student possesses. Is the student a beginner or has advanced skills? Does the person want to just have fun and get a little better or are they very serious and thinking about a career in art.
The goal is to get better and have fun. I believe, anyone can improve their artistic skills, if given the proper lessons.

Perfect! Very patient teacher. Teaches very thoroughly with lots of guidance. Flexible with schedule.
Perfect! Al is very informative and encouraging, and I greatly enjoyed my first watercolor lesson. Beautiful music playing in the background made for a very relaxing environment. I have a project to complete and am looking forward to my first attempts to paint and to next week's lesson. I would highly recommend Al. His work on display surrounding us at the worktable is amazing and inspires me to learn!

Details
Usually $30.00 an hour for painting and drawing. Subject to change in the future. I also recommend a two hour lesson. It is just the right amount of time to learn something new.
