About Yazmin
My passion for art began since I was a little girl. My mother encouraged me throughout my life to follow my dreams, so she took me to oil painting classes at the age of twelve. My father would challenge me as a little girl by writing down a number and telling me to create something using that number.
I ended up going to the University of Miami and earning a Bachelors degree in studio art. Then I went on to teach art for seventeen years. My first three years was with K-8th grade and fourteen years at a high school. I have been able to combine my two passions, which are art and teaching. I've taught Art 2D, Art 3D, Ceramics, A.P. Studio art, digital design, and visual technology.
