About Veronica
We at Painted Canvas like to take the stress out of creating . We put the heart in art by teaching you how to relax and really enjoy the process . Your not only making a masterpiece ; yourdestressing , healing and developing a way of expression and technique that will be tools to use both in art and everyday life .
The satisfaction I get from starting a project is the process that goes into it from beginning to end. I look at it a lot like a journey . I'm exploring new terrain every time. I'm learning something each time and discovering more about myself as an artist. Sometimes there's challenges but what a celebration when the art is complete.
I first became the student . I developed a passion for art that I wanted everyone to see that they can create a masterpiece no matter where they are in their skill or mindset .

Joined a year long course / learning a new style technique from a new artist every week ! Keeping my skills sharpened and in tune to the latest "trends" so I am ready to teach those techniques as students request them .

I believe in letting the student lead me. What are they interested in recreating ? Ie. Style media, environment, inspiration , music etc. I then teach them how to work in an environment that they created and feel safe in . The rest is developing a sense of accomplishment using the medias we are working with.
Young and easily distracted to old and very tentative and thirsty to learn . Both are the best temperatures for students to create in. With just a little guidance it's up to the student to use what they gleened to use toward their individual art piece.
Just give yourself the benefit of the doubt . If you have the desire to create art then you will do amazing things by just putting your hands to work. You will see that the creator deigned you to be creative and using art as an expression is healing and a journey all its own .
A live event where we taught students how to make simple crafts with everyday items around the house . It was so much fun interacting with people all over the country .
