About Francis
I teach the fundamentals of drawing and painting to students of all age, experience and skill level. My approach to teaching art is friendly and supportive, with lessons taught in a progressive order where students can build skill upon skill.
Students will learn about artist materials, composition, perspective in drawing; value, and the fundamentals of color theory in painting, while working from life in the outdoors at park locations throughout Orange County.
I have been teaching art for more than thirty years and am a professional artist, with decades of experience exhibiting my artwork throughout the United States.
My aim is to teach art making to those who are hungry to learn about drawing and painting, and to provide students with the skills they need to enjoy the fulfilling life of being an artist.
