About Sarah
I customize my lessons to each particular student so they can get the most out of my class. I do this by tailoring teaching style and content to each student's abilities, interests, and learning styles.
I enjoy teaching art because I like watching people grow in there confidence as they learn new skills.
I have wanted to teach art ever since I was 14 because I loved my art teacher so much. Since then I have taught art in a 4H group, homeschool group, nursing home, and from my home. I studied Art Education at College.
I have studied art for several years in college, as well as teaching methods. My expereience is primarily Oil Painting and Drawing.
My art has been displayed in art shows, including: "Night of the Arts Exhibition" at Northwest Nazarene University, and at the Colors of Humanity Art Gallery.

I meet with the new student and find out what they specifically want to learn. From there we discuss how to meet their interests. This includes discussing lengths of lessons, how often we will meet, and putting together a supplies list.
I have worked with students of all ages.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should consider their level of commitment to learning. This helps determine if they want the lessons to be very casual, or more intensive and structured where each class builds on the last.
They should also consider how much they are wiling to spend on art supplies.
