About Janet
I have a classical approach to teaching art that builds confidence in my students to create art. My focus is on drawing and painting. I teach my students such things as color theory, observational drawing, shading, and composition, using a broad range of drawing and painting materials. I allow room for creativity to create unique works of art.
I have a degree in Art Education and been teaching since 2003.

I asses assess where my student is at based on either work they already have and basic drawings and paintings they make. Then I build from there. I get a general idea of what classes they had or didn't already have.
