About MANAMI

Manami Yagashiro Lingerfelt :

Born in Japan, graduating from Tokyo Musashino Art College in 1985, and additional BFA from COTA Kennesaw Stats University in 2015, She began her art career in Tokyo, Japan with graphic designer and illustrator with major magazines and newspapers. However, she became increasingly displeased with her career and her life and decided to explore the world, dwelling briefly in places such as India, Nepal, Sweden and other parts of Asia and Europe from 1987-1997. She now calls Dallas, Georgia home with her husband Tommy and has produced paintings inspired by the mystical aspects of the places she visited and of the natural world. She wants to express positive energy through her oil/various medium paintings on canvas. She has been featured in exhibits in both the United States and Japan and is a continuing presence at art shows and in publications.

Her most recent awards include Best in show Fine art "Gulf shore AL, Shrimp Festival 2018. "1st place 44th Leaf Festival Art and Craft 2017, Featured Artist at Norcross Art Festival 2017, Best in show 2016 Canton Festival of the Arts, 2016 Winner of the Cartersville Super Kroger muralist, 3rd place the Art Carnegie ARTISTS OF GEORGIA: 2nd Annual Art Exhibit & Competition, 2016 &2014 Best in Show First Friday Art Walk-Marietta Square, 1st place Roswell Arts Festival 2016, Winning mural design dk gallery &Yellow Daisy Festival Featured Artist 2014, 1st place on Dean's Luncheon and Learn Series "Savor the Arts" Magazine; Printmaking department. When I obtain BFA from KSU (bachelor in fine art, Kennesaw States University) Advanced painting, water color, acrylic, advanced oil, still life and figure drawing and painting. I also learned basic ceramics and print making, digital photography, sculpture, small jewerly and metal.
