About Maureen
I was a very successful commercial artist and portrait painter. check out my work at: (concealed information)
I worked for many years at Leo Burnett advertising agency, my art direction was on television all the time.
I enjoy coming up with ideas, I enjoy being inspired, I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to execute, and I enjoy the rewards of a job well done.
While an art student at Kendall, I was asked by the life drawing teacher to teach the class for a semester. I haven't formally taught, but have desired to do so. Now this opportunity with this website
BFA from Kendall College of Art and Design

I would like to have the student do two projects per class. The 1st project, would be for the student to have to follow my directions exactly. the 2nd project, now that he has learned from the 1st, he/she can paint however they like.
I have helped friends, and children of friends and nephews throughout the years. All ages.
Begin with 'beginner's mind' always open to the possibility of learning the unexpected.
Setting up a still life for two of my nieces and taught them how I would paint it. Amazing how well they caught on.
