About Mellissa
I am a professional artist with a working studio space. I have a masters degree in painting and drawing and have been teaching painting and drawing for over ten years. my passion is in abstract painting. I love experimenting with new materials and techniques and sharing my discoveries with my students.

About the lesson

First I evaluate students current skill level. I then proceed in filling in any gaps concerning drawing skills, design theory, color theory, and techniques and mastery concernng tools and materials. Eventually when the student is ready we start developing ones individual voice and means of expression. More advanced students are taught how to build series of works and are taught how to create more dynamic and meaningful images.
