About Kathleen
We offer weekly two-hour mini-workshops on Thursday evenings in three styles of swing dance: Balboa, Charleston, and Lindy Hop. Typically, the first Thursday of each month is Balboa, the second is Charleston, and the third is Lindy Hop (though check our calendar to be sure!). The mini-workshops are beginner-to-intermediate level, no partner is necessary, and drop-ins are welcome. We offer early bird discounts for registering before the day of a mini-workshop — click here to register online! (concealed information)
Swing is truly a social dance, and we are always looking to build our community around this. On the 3rd Wednesday of every month, we host a free social dance at Charlotte's Speakeasy in Farmingdale and teach a free intro to Charleston!
We also offer more intensive weekend workshops (either 90min or 3hrs in length) once a month in special topics related to swing dancing, such as Solo Jazz, Swing Line Dances, and Dips & Tricks. No partner is necessary, drop-ins are welcome, and early bird discounts apply.
