About Nelson

Hello friends and future salsa dancers, my name is Nelson I go by Nelly and my biggest passion is dancing and teaching salsa. My speciality in dancing is Cali Style salsa, I focus a lot on footworks, partner work, posture and most of all how to enjoy dancing with a partner or solo.

I've been teaching salsa in the Bay Area for about 5 months now and my experience with students is twofold. Some just want to try it out, and others are committed on improving their Colombia salsa steps. Which one are you? Either way I'm always happy to meet new students and bring out their passions through dance.

I started doing performances and competition and in the process I met many talented dancers who wanted to learn new dance moves. Also I've met many people who never danced in their life but ended up learning a short choreo for their special birthday performance.

I trained at one of the best academies in the world in Calvin colombia.

About the lesson

We go over basic steps to develope a reliable foundation.

I work with passionate students who enjoy a new style of dance.

If you're looking for a dance teacher make sure he or she is willing to move also. Some instructors just talk.

One of my favorite events has to The San Francisco Salsa festival hosted by John Narvaez.
