About Will

Computer Science...

A daunting yet essential subject to many, that I'm passionate about demystifying and teaching for all to understand.

As a current student studying CS myself, I can relate to other students studying this subject and love nothing more than the feeling of cracking that concept you were grappling with.

Whether it be CS classes, prepping for interviews (for jobs and yes internships!), or just learning a new skill, let's explore CS together.

Having worked at several tech companies (including Google, Lyft, and Quora) while at university, I'm also more than happy to give advice on getting that dream internship/job and how software is done in industry!

During high school, I realized guiding students to understand concepts and ultimately to that aha moment was super satisfying so I stuck with it ever since.

I've tutored math, CS, physics (all the sciencey stuff) all my years at high school and am part of two honor societies at UCLA dedicated to tutoring students and providing them with the resources to succeed in classes and beyond.

About the lesson

First, get a sense of where things are at:

the purpose of studying what they're studying (interviews, classes, etc.)?

What the student understands, and what they don't

Individualized method of teaching students depending on style (we don't all learn the same way!)

Give student some practice (getting dirty coding or solving problems is often the most useful way to learn CS)

High school and college students studying math, physics, CS
