About May

I'm a Chinese teacher with 11 years experience, who will help you lean Chinese with fun and ease. I can speak fluent English, so it will be ok if you know nothing about Chinese.

My teaching style is easy to follow, I have a great sense of humor and make you feel comfortable even if you make a mistake. I am patient enough, you can interrupt at any time to ask a question. I can respond quickly to your requests to emphasize certain parts of the subject matters, such as the pronunciation.

I have a lot of great tips for leaning. I can teach the tones in a very fun way that you can easily remember them. For example, you can nod your head to pronounce the fourth tone.

I know the right amount of challenging you as a student while being very encouraging.

I will customize a lesson plan for you and tailor the lessons to your goals and pacing. I will always make sure of your questions will be answered. If you are not a beginner, I will plan my lessons to build on words you already knew. My teaching content in each class is very organized and very clear for you to learn. You can learn a lot in each session.

I will send you notes and exercises after each class to help you review. I will also conduct Chinese conversations at the beginning of each lesson to hlep you review.

I will offer a free lesson to show how the tutoring works. Don't take my words, just give it a shot. I look forwards to seeing you in my class.

About the lesson

First of all, I will sent the student an email to check out his or her learning goals as well as the level of their Chinese. So I can prepare the first lesson.

During the first lesson, I will try to make the student feel it's easy and fun to learn Chinese. I think confidence is quite important in learning.

After the fisrt class, I will make a lesson plan for the student and send the plan as well as the notes and exercise for the first lesson to the student.

I will also confirm the time for the next lesson with the student.
