About Paul
I have been tutoring chemistry, biology, and calculus at Palm Beach Atlantic University for over a year. I love helping students make connections between material and applying their knowledge to test questions and real-world problems.
My chemistry 1 professor reccomended me to the tutoring center so I applied and I've been tutoring ever since.
I have taken chemistry 1 and 2 at Palm Beach Atlantic University and continue to sit in on these classes' lectures so the information stays fresh to me.
Tutors at Palm Beach Atlantic University are required to attend tutoring and leadership workshops throughout the semester.

Firstly, getting to know the student and building a relationship with them is crucial to the success of the tutoring. Next, I typically ask some sample questions to assess what specific areas to focus our time on so that no time is wasted on topics the student already understand. Once I know what topics to focus on, I explain them to the student how I feel they will best understand and remember them. Finally, I solidify the student's understanding with review and application questions.
I have worked with both students at the top of the class seeking to advance their knowledge and students who are struggling to get pass the class. I love helping both kinds of students acheive their goals.
