About Adrian

The service grew out of a passion for learning and helping others do the same. I wanted others to appreciate the fun that can be taken from creating a good environment to discover the possibilities from all kinds of subjects. Just like a language, anything is best learned when it is taken from a useful and subjective perspective. My goal is to try to find that for other people. I've made my career in Chemistry and use Math, English, relationships and other subjects to help me along the way. I have an MS in Chemistry and have worked as Quality Control Supervisor in a Pharmaceutical company. I've worked in a chemistry laboratory for about 17 years now.

In college, I was recommended by my Organic Chemistry professor to students in his General Chemistry class.

-BS/MS in Chemistry

-Tutored college students in high school chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemistry lab, English, Math-Calculus, Statistics but can delve into other subjects as necessary.

About the lesson

First thing is to see where the student's current standing is and understand their short term goals. I will try to asses the students short term and long term goals and develop a formalized individual plan. Getting to know the student is ideal for getting the most enthusiasm from them. My ultimate goal is that you don't need a tutor anymore and you can learn to gauge subjects on your own with better ease and confidence.

I've worked with High School students taking the regents exam and college students that were Bio majors as well as chem majors.

To determine short term goals before the meeting so they can move in a smoother and quicker pace from the get go.

Went hiking this last Sunday with my girlfriend and immediate family to the Bear Mountain area. Everyone was social distancing and wearing masks but it was still nice to see everyone and enjoy a great day outside.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think students should be able to discuss the format of the class openly and say what they found to be helpful and not so helpful. Teachers will appreciate constructive criticism.

I usually do not charge for the first lesson but I don't know how this website works as I am new here. Lessons are usually $45/hr there after but we can negotiate depending on the amount of times per week we can meet.
