About Andreas

I provide individual attention to my clients at a pace they feel comfortable learning, in a timely matter in which the material needs to be learned. I am able to teach (specifically science and math) in several different ways for the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learner. I believe understanding the client as an individual before teaching is nessesary in order to ensure both a positive experience with the lesson and absorbtion of the material.

I have worked as a private tutor for 4 years, specifically working with a severe ADHD client through middle school and early high school. I additionally served 2 years as an enviormental science instructor at a research camp for middle school students.

I am a senior in college (Grand Canyon University) pursuiting a degree in Chemistry with a minor in secondary eduction. I have always had a passion for the sciences and plan to pursiut them in the future in the classroom setting.

When I was a sophomore in High School, my school counselor came to me and asked if I was interested in tutoring a student from the local middle school who REALLY needed some help. I agreed and meet with the student and his parents to explore the situation, we have worked together for the past 4 years now.

I study Chemistry with a minor in secondary education at Grand Canyon University, Have served as a private tutor for 5 years, and worked as an enviormental science instructor (specifically teaching biospheric and hydrospheric dynamics) at a middle school research camp.

About the lesson

I will spend the first session getting to know my student on a personal level: learning their likes, dislikes, hobbies, sports, instruments, dreams, etc. I will then discuss the specific area needing to be adressed with both the student and their parents, so we ALL are on the same page regarding the gameplan. I will then dive right in to the material, usually from the begining, in the style in which they learn best.

My main client whom I have served for the past 4 years had severe ADHD, which was half the issue. However we quickly found a way he naturally retained information and expanded on that. From there, I expanded with working with other middle school aged and early high school aged students.

Dont be embarrassed! There is absolutely NO SHAME in seeking some help with school. I had a tutor through middle school, early high school, and I even stop by the tutoring center at my college sometimes when I dont understand something.

When you`re looking for a tutor, look for someone who has a passion for what they`re teaching, they are the ones who will take their time and teach at your pace / your learning style.

I understand that this is in no way associated with education what-so-ever, but in light of all the Corona Virus rules and home order, the Metal band Metallica recently live streamed a free concert for everyone to listen to. I know that this isnt monumental, however as an avid Metallica fan, it was a nice thing to do for a nation struggling with home order.

For the past 4 years, I charded $15 - $20 an hour. However, those prices were priced agreed upon by the students parents and myself. My pricing us open to discussion based on the needs of the student.
