About Corin
I am currently a fifth year Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences, at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where I study cell death, mitochondrial dynamics and induced protein degradation technology. I currently work as an official mentor for the Biomedical Science PhD program to help new graduate students adjust to graduate school.
Previously, I graduated cum laude from UNC - Asheville with a B.S in Biology while doing undergraduate research in biochemistry and molecular biology. During this time, I also concurrently worked as a tutor for the Biology department, in an official capacity.
In total I have extensive experience spanning: cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, biomedical science, and general chemistry. I also have a lot of experience in Biomedical graduate school admissions, having been offered Ph.D student positions at Ivy League institutions.
I have mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate level students throughout the years, and am good at explaining complex topics in simple terms. I thoroughly enjoy teaching people how cool biology and chemistry really are, while still meeting them on their level in terms of what they are trying to get out of tutoring.
