I have a Bachelor's degree in History, with a minor in political science and sociology. I also hold a Master's degree in Education and am certified to teach history and geography in grades 5-12. Through my educational experiences, I have developed an extensive knowledge base in social sciences, particularly in the fields of history and political science. Furthermore, I have previous tutoring experience in which I provided one-on-one assistance to students in middle and high school. I have also taught college-level courses in Political Science and have had the opportunity to work with a variety of students with varied interests, goals and backgrounds. I'm also a dedicated, patient, and passionate educator who strives to ensure that all students have a chance to maximize their potential.

My typical process for working with a new student begins with getting to know them and their goals, in order to understand how best to tailor my class or lessons to their needs. I also like to talk about their experience with the material, and how I can help them achieve their desired learning outcomes. Next, I create a lesson plan tailored to their learning goals, which may involve a combination of lectures, demonstrations, practice activities, or other approaches. I then typically review the contents of the lesson plan with the student so that they can gain a full understanding of what they'll be covering. Afterward, I make sure to allocate enough time for any necessary questions so that they can get a better handle on the topics presented. Finally, I make sure to follow up with the student at the end of the lesson to assess their level of understanding and make sure they have all the resources they need to continue learning.
