About Jessie
My favorite subjects to tutor are organic chemistry and biology/physiology :)
MS in Exercise Science, applying to medical school this cycle. Study Coordinator in Cardiac Rhythm Management (I LOVE the heart). Emergency Medical Technician on the side.

I naturally gravitated towatd a tutoring role in a lot of my classes and helped a lot of my fellow students to improve their exam scores and excel in the class.
I have worked full time in a biomedical lab, while balancing STEM pre-requisites for medical school and working part time as an EMT. I have mastered time management and studying smarter, not harder, to achieve a high GPA in challenging courses, while maintaining my responsibilities outside of school.

Figuring out where my student is having difficulty (memorization, linking concepts, etc) and then creating a custom strategy to help them learn and retain the information. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to tutoring.
All ages and backgrounds, with most of my experience being college-aged students.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I like to know ahead of time what concepts you're struggling with prior to the session. This way I can find practice problems, prepare supplemental materials, or even brush up on my own knowledge if it's a subject I haven't seen in a while. I don't want to spend excess time during tutoring sessions searching for things I can prepare in advance. This way, the focus is just on the student's needs and making the most out of the session.
