About Daniel
I am a senior chemistry major at UAB, with over 5 years of experience in a wide variety of chemistry courses. My particular areas of expertise are General Chemistry (including high school and AP level courses), Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry. Additionally, I have also taught as a teacher's assistant for over two years, which has allowed me to further develop my craft and learn to explain concepts to wide variety of students.
I first started teaching by doing some light tutoring in high school, which evolved into becoming a teacher's assistant at UAB. The two subjects I have taught are General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, and I have a deep understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical applications (e.g. performing experiments in a lab).

First, I like to get to know my students a little bit, which helps me to understand how they might be thinking about problems and concepts. Then, I like to guage their level of understanding, which will indicate how much time I will need to teach them the necessary concepts. Finally, I try to find a way of teaching that works for the student, whether that be working through problems or figuring things out from a theoretical standpoint.
I have mostly worked with college students, though I have also tutored high school students. The level of knowledge from my students ranges from basic/little-to-no experience with Chemistry to those with intimate knowledge of the subject.
