About Alex

Hi! I am Alex, an enthusiastic geography graduate living in Chester, England. I have developed a love for tutoring after experiences in voluntary coaching and mentoring during university and paid tutoring post-university. I have a love for the natural world, different cultures, and sustainable practices, hence the Geography degree! My hobbies outside tutoring include playing for my local tennis club in weekend fixtures, going to the cinema, planning travel ideas, and listening to jazz music. I look forward to having a trial lesson with you!

About the lesson

I adopt a progress-based approach to learning, ensuring that the entire session is dedicated to improving understanding in an efficient and effective way. I do this by combining multiple learning methods for variety, and building strong rapport and motivational goals with students. Lessons can last 30 mins to 1 hour. I have been a private and schools tutor on various virtual and in-person platforms for 2 years now, for GCSE and tennis tutoring. Lessons primarily for anyone up to GCSE age, although tennis and flute lessons can be any age.
