About Sue
My tutoring style is unique in that I have experience teaching in class and online. Including the student interactively makes the lesson more real, I use examples from personal life comparison to class material, and the student becomes part of the learning process. I use the same styles online, the technology resources give the student the opportunity to present their learning through one-on-one with me. I use the three learning styles to reach each student.
I enjoy sharing my ideas and learning the students perspectives regarding their desire to learn. My responsibility is to create a successful student with learning skills that can be applied to all subjects and with their self-confidence it is a successful experience. I enjoy watching the growth of students and their excitement.
My student reviews will hopefully be posted once I begin tutoring.
My education consists of a MS in Instructional Technology as it is implemented in K-12 school settings, a MBA in Human Resource Management and a Ph.D. concentrating on Workforce Training and Development. All of my education has built upon education for children and industrial workers who many did not have an eighth grade reading or math level. I was a Human Resource Director before a Professor and it was my responsibility to establish and manage a learning environment for adults with literacy education. I retired from teaching but I want to teach in a different environment ,in a one-on-one setting, with instilling learning skills.

Working with new students is exciting and in my past experience my excitement seems to reach the student. I begin by finding out about the students past education experience even if it is just three years. I include discussion of their likes and dislikes, their fun experiences, and what seems to mean the most to them. This information can then be related to the learning process.
