About Anna
I am from Kansas City, MO, and I have a B.A. in Music, Theatre, and Entertainment Management from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and an M.S. in Management from Liverpool John Moores University. This includes 5 years of international experience in Entertainment Business, ranging from entrepreneurship, to volunteer management, to various aspects of law and finance. Each degree concluded with a 12,000-20,000 word dissertation.
Finally, I am in my 20s. This means I am able to understand younger students much better, and many of my friends and family are high school and college teachers. Due to the shift to online learning, I have invaluable resources at my disposal to help me understand how to best help students.
I love helping students understand the basics of business management. This is an area that will help anybody succeed, regardless of career field and contains competencies that are very easy to apply to real world experiences.
I began visiting my old high school to give crash courses in music business to the music students after watching many of my musician friends get stuck in various financial situations or legal situations, purely due to lack of education or awareness in the area. I believe regardless of the career field, business skills are a great strength.
I have a BA in Entertainment Management and an MS in Management. Coupled with 5 years of international experience, I have the real life skills needed to succeed in business management.

First, I try to best understand their learning style. Each student learns differently and therefore require a different approach.
Look not only at education and hard qualifications (although those are important aspects!), but also at the personality. Someone may have all the experience in the world and be a great teacher for one person, but if the student does not click with the teacher and form a mutual understanding, the learning will not go as smoothly.
On April 11th, Saturday Night Live produced a special episode - Saturday Night Live At Home. While the show has a leg up as my personal favorite, this particular episode is special. It highlighted that while this is a hard time, we are still allowed to laugh and have fun and create. We are all still human and deserve to have moments of release.
