About the lesson

For younger students (elementary school) I like to start with a set of books including fun songs, technique building, and music theory. I believe young students learn best when they have a familiar structure to their lessons, and clear expectations about practice.

For older students (teenagers and adults) I like to start with a discussion about goals. Then I can recommend specific books that are best in helping them gain the skills they are most interested in.

students between 18 to 25 years

To consider the previous experience, skills and expertise

I am fond of helping student attain the best in their studies.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What's being learned? What's the topic?

What seems most important about what's being learned? At first glance, what's the 'big idea' of what's being learned?

What do I already know and not know about this?

Why is this important?

What is my role in learning this?
