About Grace
I want to encourage every student to do their best by pushing them to their greatest potential. I will encourage and support them through tutoring while allowing them to gain confidence and themselves and their academic ability. Moreover, I want to enjoy the idea of learning and finding answers.
After college I started working as an environmental educator and realized how much I loved working with and teaching children. I went back to school for my teaching certification and started working as a substitute teacher.
I have a Bachelor of Science in marine affairs (environmental studies) and am working towards my teaching certification in secondary biology. I currently work as an environmental educator and a substitute teacher.

I try and encourage every student to do their best. I want to build confidence and self-esteem. If it is a new student I will ask what study techniques work for them. I would ask what material they have been struggling with and then go over each lesson with review, activity or assignment, and then more review.
I have worked with all types of students varying in age (2nd-9th) and am currently gaining more experience working in a high school setting. I have also worked with all different types of learners (visual, auditory, hands-on, etc.) and with varying abilities.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think the first thing would be what a student might be struggling with and why they might be. have them write a list of questions they have for their problem and even best ways they learn. Most importantly don't feel shy to ask questions! That is the best way to learn, and teachers are there to guide you to your best potential.
