About Lance
My service stands out because I am a high school student myself who can relate to whom I'm helping to tutor, with tutoring experience thanks to NHS, of which I am president of, as well as being able to act as a big brother to underclassmen and juniors, since I am a senior.
I love seeing students get it. When the lightbulb goes off in their head and it all just clicks, and love seeing it because it perfectly encapsulates what I'm trying to do, and it's easily my favorite part of tutoring.
While I may still be in high school, I am currently rank #2 in my class of 870, with a cumulative GPA of 4.45 and As in both semesters of AP US History, AP World History, AP Human Geography, and AP English Language, with a 5 on the first two and a 4 on the second two.

Typically, I spend the first session getting to know the student and where they are in relation to the academic subject at hand. For example, I would use some history or geography warmups to encourage them to see the subject in a fun way, while also using it a ms a gauge to see where they are.
