About Kristen
Every child can learn!
That is a principle I wholeheartedly believe and is one of the reasons I became an educator. As a millennial and modern-day teacher, I have knowledge of the best practices that reach minds that are drawn to stimulation due to high levels of engagement.
My experiences are in Science and Math, however, I am knowledgeable in English/Language Arts and Social Studies.

The plan was to go into corporate, retire, and the teach, however, after interning for a Fortune 500 company for 3 years, I decided corporate was not for me, and began to teach instead.
I have a bachelors degree in Chemistry, and Math and ELA are heavily infused in. Additionally I am also certified by Georgia to teach science and math.

Introductions can be hard and relationships matter when working with people, so we will get to know each other a little better before the work begins.
Once we begin, I have them tell me what they need assistance with and as we are working, I am making observations to see what the root cause is that of the lack of understanding.
Deoending on the person, I may also reach out to the teacher for insight or ask the student for work samples prior to the session.
I have worked with a variety of students with exceptionalities on both ends of the spectrum. I teach gifted students, ones who most consider “bright” or advanced; general population of students; and students with disabilities that impede their learning.
Find out what your “weakness” is so that your teacher/tutor can help strengthen in. Learning fundamentals are important because 9 times out of 10, you will see them again.
