About Jose

Growing up in a church, I began teaching biblical studies to younger kids from a very young age. Across my academic career I have always enjoyed helping the next wave of students succeed in courses I have excelled in.

I am currently finishing a Doctor of Naturopathic medicine degree at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. At this moment I have accrued 195 credit hours of graduate studies.

I have 10 years of overall tutoring experience; 3 of them at a doctoral level. I have had the priviledge to tutor in a human cadaver lab where students dissect entire bodies from head to toe.

About the lesson

All of my anatomy tutoring is tailored to the specific learning style of the student. Tools I use include:

- Computer visuals

- Hardcover anatomy atlases

- Imagery/visualization

- Mnemonics/analogies

- Active movement so the student can apply the lesson on themselves.

As part of the session I recommend studying patterns and habits that are best suited to help that particular student's learning style.

I have worked with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students throughout my tutoring career. Academic materia include basic chemistry and biology, cell physiology, biochemistry, human biology, human anatomy and physiology, and certain math rigors such as geometry, algebra, and calculus.

Interview your candidate and get to know their intentions. A resume can look pristine, but personable qualities and flexibility are what truly establish connection.

The recent pandemic has left most of the world in a state of shock. I believe that now, more than ever, is a crucial time to help in areas we are qualified in to uplift our society from the lows of 2020.
