About Jillian
I love interacting with students and helping them understand biological concepts. As a former college professor, I have access to all my materials that I used for teaching my classes. I like to use different media to help students understand material. I also have the insight of a professor to understand what your teacher might ask on a test or quiz.
I was a TA in college and enjoyed it. I continued to work as a laboratory teacher in grad school and was eventually hired at several universities as a professor.
I have a master's degree in biology. I also have 7 years of teaching experience at the college level and 1 year of tutoring experience.

I ask students to describe their current understanding of material, as well as telling me what areas they would like to work on. We can then work together to plan what subjects we would cover first, the frequency of our meetings and their preferences for learning.
I've worked with high school and college students, both majors and non-majors.
