About Marco

We have a varying amount of knowledge available for students, focused more in some areas than others. However, we don't give up and we help as best we can. This is a new beginning and we're here to grow and simply help where help is needed because we love to spread factual knowledge.

By having a love of helping others understand and spreading knowledge to those who need it.

A bachelors in Biochemistry and Geology from the University of Texas at Austin. Years of experience working with children at camps. A year of outdoor education.

About the lesson

The typical process involves assessing what they might need help with, gathering all of their current knowledge, and helping them arrive at an answer that fits there needs. All while keeping the session brief and concise, but still helpful.

Students of ages 10-18. Students that do well in school and some that might need a bit extra help to take them to the next level of excelling.

Be ready with all the questions you might have to ask, and if you feel like you're not getting the information you need don't be afraid to speak up a little and redirect.

Having a group of about 13 5th graders and teaching them introductory microbiology of a lake system and environment.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Any questions that sound like they might already be in materials the student has on hand. Also any questions that are pure critical thought are questions that can have an answer whether you may think it's right or not.

We are young and new at tutoring and therefore would not expect a high rate in compensation. Depending on the help needed anywhere from 15-20 dollars an hour to begin with.
