About Casey

Since 2011, I have tutored students of various age groups (from elementary school students throughout college), but have always specialized in math and science tutoring. I have a passion for continual learning and education, and I hope to further this passion of mine by helping you through this platform.

To provide some background about me:

I graduated from University of Virginia with Distinction and a degree in Biology in 2017. I worked as a teaching assistant for an introductory biology lab during this time.

As someone who plans to matriculate into medical school this fall, I also hold excellent academic records. On the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), I achieved a 98th percentile on the Psychology/Sociology section, 97th percentile on the Chemistry/Physics section, and 90th percentile on the Biology/Biochemistry section. Currently, I am working as an MCAT Instructor for Kaplan Test Prep.

Nonetheless, my job as your tutor is to focus on YOUR specific needs and help you attain YOUR personal goals. Whether you need help with homework, test preparation, or understanding certain concepts, I am here for you! I am open to tutoring various age groups, from elementary through high school.

I have a longstanding passion for teaching, but especially mentoring students! It is such a rewarding experience to be able to help students improve and succeed, knowing that I played a role in their academic journey. :)

It is really important for me to get to know my students before starting our sessions. The first thing I would like to know is: what is your goal? What are you looking for in our sessions?

Depending on these factors, I will tailor to the students' needs to help them meet their goal.
