About Colton
Science is challenging topic to grasp no matter what education background one may have. My philosophy is that anyone can learn the complex principles in science, as long the information is explained and presented in a way that the person can understand and relate to. For 5 years I have been teaching high school/college/adult level science courses including Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Physics. I attended UAB from 2015-2018, and graduated with a bachelor's in biology, with minors in chemistry and forensic science. Throughout college, I worked as a teaching assistant and tutor for chemistry, biology, and physics (including labs).
I enjoy watching students grow intellectually over time, and grasp concepts that they once thought of as unattainable. Every student is unique in their learning style, so an instructor must be proficient at adapting and utilizing different startegies in order to present the information to the student in a way that allows them to learn and enjoy the topic being covered.
