Learn how to play the bass guitar from a bass guitarist! Most teachers out there today are six-string guitarists who teach bass guitar to fill their calendars. But guitarists teach students the way they were taught to play guitar. Unfortunately, those methods should not be used in teaching the bass guitar. The instruments are very different in what they do.

The method I teach is fun, interactive and customized to your level of play, your goals, and your progress. Systematically you will learn the things that are most important to being a true bass player. You will be able to start playing with others quickly and have a better understanding of what you are doing and what your role is. We will work together in a way that gets results and achieves your goals. As mentioned, our sessions will be designed and customized specifically to your goals, expectations and needs. We will work together to devise a plan, review and adjust it often, as we move through your progress and growth.

From true beginners to novice and intermediate players of any age. This is the education program for you! Ask how to get up to two lessons/sessions free!

About the lesson

Bass guitar lessons offered by David are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Jackson. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.

Perfect! Review for Dave (Bass Instructor)

Dave is an excellent bass teacher who creates a comfortable and supportive learning environment. As an older player who isn’t the most skilled, I’ve had instructors in the past who became impatient, but Dave is the complete opposite. He answers all my questions, encourages my progress, and has even acted as a mentor. His laid-back and supportive style makes learning enjoyable, and I always leave our lessons feeling motivated. He has also taught me things that other teachers never did, expanding my understanding of the bass and music theory in ways I hadn’t experienced before. I recommend him to anyone looking for a patient and knowledgeable instructor!
