About Michael A
I will assess the student/athlete's natural abilities of fundamental basketball by havinthem do various drills. Next assess t, to fit a parti coaching style, as building blocks for competitive sports.W
I got started teaching chess when I realized that the future depends on the youth and if we can't give back to the youth as adults all of our efforts and education will the of no use for the advancement of society.
I have a juris doctorate in law I have a bachelor's in economics I've traveled extensively around this planet and lived in various countries. However nothing of that sort has anything to do with educating children for the future.
Presently I coach and referee basketball for junior high and High School and I teach chess which I've played since high school.

New Students need to be comfortable with me in order to ask all kind of questions. I make sure that they feel safe that any question is a good question and it is not reflective of their understanding of chess in an intellectual sense.
The types of students I've worked with comes from all walks of life and of all ages. From elementary school to Junior High and High School.
Most of my students are in elementary school.
That's a good question a student should look primarily to hire a teacher that can take their life experience and the students life experience and challenges and teach them in a way that is applicable to the lesson that they're learning currently.
Otherwise there will be a tug of war of the teachers learning style and the students learning style. That will not be productive in any sense of the word.
There are many events that I'm fond of, however the main thing is that the student gets it in their own time and in their own way!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The questions that students should think through before talking to a teacher about their needs need not to be all involved the main thing is that the student just be themselves and have a natural conversation with the teacher and themselves about their needs and wants and expectations. That way both are on the same page
if the teacher can provide those want an expectations, then that teacher should be hired. if not then the teacher should not be hired.

Details
The standard pricing system for my lessons depends on the person or the student. How enthusiastic are they about learning the game of chess or is it just the parents wanting to learn.
My pricing depends on that greatly. The lessons go much more smoother and the student is much more eager to learn.
