About Reiko

I played at a high level in college, and have been coaching for 6+ years now at the college level. I have trained as an athlete my whole life, so I understand the ins and outs of the game, but I also understand the mental part of the experience as well. My goal is to make sure that my students are learning, and enjoying themselves. I am open minded, and caring, and the relationship I build with the student and family is ultimately most important to me.

The relationships I am able to build. At every school I have coached at, I've had very genuine and close relationships with my players. I take a lot of time not only coaching but mentoring my student athletes as people first, students second, and basketball players third. Their happiness is very important to me.

I've been a student my whole life, I am still a student in every aspect of my life, and still learning on a daily basis. BUT now I also teach the game of basketball that I love.

Talking with the student and their parent(s) before meeting.

I have worked with children, to adults. I am pretty adaptable to different age groups.

Find someone that has your best interest at heart. Someone that wants to see you succeed, and someone that makes whatever you're doing enjoyable. (to a certain extent)
