About Chesley

My name is Coach Savage and Savage Training started after my sport career ended but my love for sport lives on. I became NASM certified in 2014 and began training and coaching. I have played and coached basketball and softball my whole life. I love team sports. There is nothing like the feeling of being on a team. I love learning more about the game and sharing that knowledge with others. If you are looking to enhance your skill set or you are just beginning, I can help! I also can provide nutrition programs if you are also looking to gain muscle to help with performance!

I always knew I wanted to coach. I helped coach elementary students when I was a freshman in high school and knew that was what I was meant to be doing.

I am a certified trainer and coach and my education comes from studying the game constantly.

About the lesson

I like to set up a consult. Learn about what they want, their current skill set and knowledge, etc.
Then I created a game plan for our training sessions. Including "Homework" for the student to practice in between sessions.
We will perform drills to test each skill at the beginning and then again after we have been training together to show data on progress.

I have worked with students from 3rd grade through seniors in high school. From complete beginners to athletes looking to get scholarships.

My advise would be to make sure you enjoy the coach and their style. You want to make sure that you are learning and growing but also having fun! It should never make you despise the game. If I do that, I am failing at my job. Be willing to put in the work for what you love.

I recently was working with a high school senior who had received a Rugby scholarship but wanted to walk on and play basketball too. It was super rewarding to challenge this incredible athlete to push herself even further and make the team!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Have you put in the work? Are you disliking something because it is hard? Is it physically or mentally challenging you? Can you not do it or do you just not want to?
