About Karissa
I have a background in education and a passion for making archery accessible for all. I know how to keep things interesting and fun while helping my students reach their goals, tailoring lessons to the individual archer's needs.
I am a USA Archery Level 2 Certified Instructor and a USA Archery Certified Instructor Trainer

I found my passion for teaching while in high school and have used that passion in different settings including management, volunteer work, and teaching preschool.
I have two certifications through USA Archery:
Level 2 Trainer
Instructor Trainer
I also have over 10 years of teaching experience.

About the lesson

With each new student I assess their experience and skill level before or at the first lesson. I make sure that students are properly and safely equipped and go over safety, and then we discuss how to take the first shot. From there I continuously assess how the student is progressing and help them to make adjustments while getting them comfortable with the process.
I have worked with students are varying ages and experience, including children as young as 3.
